Why save an audio file on SoundCloud?

You may have an audio file of the children singing a song or reciting a short poem.  Perhaps you recording some children explaining how they created a certain piece of art or project. Maybe you recorded them talking about a drawing they made.  Or perhaps you recorded each child telling about their favourite activity to do with their mom or dad for Mother's Day or Father's Day.  Whatever the reason for the audio, saving it to the Internet makes sharing easier.  You can share the link with parents in an email.

You can also create a QR code of the audio link for many purposes such as:

  • The QR code can be stuck on projects or pasted in a portfolio beside a picture of the project or creation, to add an audio component -hearing the child speak of the work.
  • You may like to record yourself reading picture books and then upload the audio file to SoundCloud.  A QR code can be created of the audio link, and then the image of the QR code can be pasted to the back of the book.  Children can use an iPod, tablet, or other smart device equiped with a QR code reader to scan the QR code and listen to the story.
